MAKHALLA - THE DISAPPEARING HISTORICAL APPEARANCE OF OLD TASHKENT. (2025). Journal of Science-Innovative Research in Uzbekistan, 3(6), 205-212. https://www.universalpublishings.com/index.php/jsiru/article/view/12505

Abstract

In this article, many people think that Tashkent is too Europeanized, but not everyone knows that in the very center of the city today there are national, colorful, charming neighborhoods - traditional Uzbek neighborhoods, where there are generous one- and two-story houses that have stood here for more than a hundred years...

New houses are emerging today in place of the destroyed neighborhoods. The residents of the neighborhoods will probably live in them more comfortably, but soon, unfortunately, there will be no trace of the unique appearance of old Tashkent.
