Abstract

This article provides a scientific and theoretical analysis of the formation of historical memory and collective consciousness in the digital society. The rapid development of information and communication technologies, the spread of the Internet, and the popularity of social networks have significantly transformed the processes of perceiving, interpreting, and preserving historical events. The study examines the digital transformation of historical memory, the mechanisms of collective consciousness formation, and the influence of mass media and virtual space on public consciousness. Particular attention is paid to the problems of manipulation of historical information, disinformation, and information security in the digital environment. The scientific views of Eastern and Western scholars on historical memory and collective consciousness are analyzed in relation to modern global processes. As a result of the research, scientific conclusions are drawn regarding the preservation and development of historical memory and collective consciousness in the conditions of digital society.
