THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF DEVELOPING KEY COMPETENCIES BASED ON INTERDISCIPLINARY CONNECTIONS IN PRIMARY GRADES. (2026). Journal of Universal Science Research, 4(Maxsus son-3), 327-333. https://doi.org/10.66301/xmxnr525

Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of developing key competencies in primary grades based on interdisciplinary connections in relation to artificial intelligence technologies. Interdisciplinary connection directs pupils to link the knowledge acquired in different subjects and apply it in real-life situations. This approach is especially important in primary education, because younger pupils understand knowledge more easily not as separate school subjects, but through holistic life experience. The article highlights the opportunities for developing communicative competence, information-handling competence, self-development competence, socially active civic competence, national and universal cultural competence, and mathematical literacy through interdisciplinary integration. Artificial intelligence is interpreted as an auxiliary tool for integrating lessons, creating individualized tasks, planning interdisciplinary projects, and analyzing pupils’ learning activities.
