THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF DEVELOPING CREATIVE IMAGINATION IN PRIMARY GRADES. (2026). Journal of Universal Science Research, 4(Maxsus son-3), 241-246. https://doi.org/10.66301/pywt8587

Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of developing creative imagination in primary school pupils in connection with artificial intelligence technologies. Creative imagination is the child's ability to create a new idea, event, image, solution, or artistic expression based on existing knowledge, experience, images, and emotional impressions. The primary education stage is considered the most favorable period for the formation of creative imagination, because at this age pupils' figurative thinking, fantasy, speech, emotional perception, and curiosity develop actively. The article discusses the pedagogical and psychological essence of creative imagination, its role in the development of the pupil's personality, the possibilities of using artificial intelligence tools, methodological approaches, and existing risk factors. Artificial intelligence is interpreted not as a tool that provides ready-made answers in developing creative imagination, but as an auxiliary pedagogical technology that encourages pupils to ask questions, continue events, analyze images, find alternative solutions, and express independent creative ideas.
