DEVELOPING PUPILS’ THINKING ABILITIES THROUGH SOLVING NON-STANDARD PROBLEMS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL MATHEMATICS LESSONS. (2026). Journal of Universal Science Research, 4(Maxsus son-3), 182-186. https://doi.org/10.66301/dgbc7n34

Abstract

The relevance of this topic lies in the fact that in traditional lesson processes, pupils’ skills of independent thinking, logical analysis, and making correct decisions in problem situations are not always formed at a sufficient level. Therefore, the use of non-standard problems is considered an important factor in developing pupils’ creative and critical thinking. The article also substantiates that in the process of solving such problems, pupils’ thinking becomes more active, their ability to approach a problem from different points of view improves, and their skills of drawing logical conclusions and applying knowledge in practice are developed. This issue is of great importance in developing methodological recommendations for primary school teachers.
