Abstract
Topinambur (Helianthus tuberosus L.), commonly known as Jerusalem artichoke, occupies a significant place among medicinal plants due to its rich chemical composition and high content of biologically active compounds. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the plant’s main components, including inulin, vitamins (especially B-complex and vitamin C), macro- and microelements, and antioxidant substances that positively affect the human body. The study examines the therapeutic effects of topinambur in the treatment and prevention of diabetes mellitus, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and immune system enhancement.
