Abstract
Pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) is a valuable food and medicinal plant known for its rich chemical composition and high content of biologically active compounds. This article provides a comprehensive study of the medicinal properties of pistachio, its chemical constituents, and its effects on human health. The research analyzes the presence of essential vitamins (A, E, and B-complex), minerals (potassium, magnesium, iron), fatty acids, and antioxidant compounds found in pistachios. These components play an important role in supporting cardiovascular health, reducing cholesterol levels, enhancing immune function, and protecting the body against oxidative stress. In addition, the article highlights the traditional use of pistachio in folk medicine and its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and general health-promoting properties. The findings indicate that pistachio has significant medicinal potential and can be effectively used in modern medicine, nutrition, and preventive healthcare.
